Hosts Ljubljana face Nitra

The 2016-2017 edition of the MEVZA Cup will resume from Thursday to Sunday in Ljubljana (SLO), Innsbruck (AUT) and Zagreb (CRO).

CEV Champions League participants ACH Volley LJUBLJANA (SLO) currently top the charts on ten points, a point clear of Bystrina SPU NITRA (SVK). On Thursday Slovenia's multiple national champs will be challenged by Slovakia's national title holders. Hosts ACH Volley are the most successful team in the competition since the founding of the MEVZA back in 2005/2006 lifting the trophy as many as seven times.

On Friday night in Innsbruck Austria's champions Hypo Tirol INNSBRUCK will face their arch-rivals SK Posojilnica AICH/DOB. Both sides caught a perfect start to their campaign in the 2016-2017 MEVZA Cup, but had to cope with disappointing setbacks before Christmas.

Only one tournament takes place from Friday to Sunday in the women's MEVZA Cup. Along with hosts Mladost ZAGREB (CRO), Vasas Obuda BUDAPEST (HUN) and SG VB NÖ Sokol/Post (AUT) will also play in the Croatian capital.
