ACH Volley Ljubljana record fourth win

On Thursday night hosts ACH Volley LJUBLJANA cruised to a commanding 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-14) win over Bystrina SPU NITRA. As a result, the CEV Champions League participants extended their winning streak in their MEVZA Cup campaign to four matches in a row. ACH Volley currently top the charts on thirteen points. Slovenia's multiple national champs are the most successful team in the competition since the founding of the MEVZA back in 2005/2006 lifting the trophy as many as seven times.

Slovakia's reigning champions SPU NITRA are next in the standing on nine points followed by Mladost ZAGREB (CRO) on seven points. The regular season in the men's competition will resume on Friday among others with the much anticipated clash between Austria's Hypo Tirol INNSBRUCK and their arch-rivals SK Posojilnica AICH/DOB. Both sides caught a perfect start to their campaign in the 2016-2017 MEVZA Cup, but had to cope with disappointing setbacks before Christmas.
