Rijeka wants to be on top again

The best four teams in Women's MEL meet on Saturday in the Spaladium Arena in Split to fight for the two spots in the Final. ZOK Rijeka KVIG tips off the event with a Croatian duel against hosting ZOK Split 1700. In the second semi final lat year's finalist SVS Post faces Nova Branik Maribor.

Can Hypo Tirol defend the title?

Men's MEL Final Four is starting this Friday in Vienna's Budocenter. The hosting hotVolleys welcome two Top-6 teams of the Champions League in MEL-titleholder Hypo Tirol and ACH Volley Bled. The fourth semi-finalist Maldost Zagreb qualified for the Final Four of the Challenge Cup. The fight for the championship 2009/10 promises a lot of excitement.

'Development of the league is excellent'

The Final Four-tournaments of both Men's and Women's MEL are scheduled for this weekend. The best four male teams of the regular season face off on Friday in Vienna's Budocenter. European Top-Level is guaranteed: Hypo Tirol and ACH Volley Bled have made it to the Top-6 of the CEV indesit Champions League, where they face each other on Wednesday. Mladost Zagreb qualified for the Final Four of the Challenge Cup. The fourth team are the hotVolleys, who look to take advantage of their homecourt advantage. The Final Four of Women's competition takes place in Split. Host ZOK Split 1700 welcomes the best team of the regular season, ZOK Rijeka KVIG, SVS Post and Nova Branik Maribor. In an interview with Andreas Schnedl MEVZA-president Karl Hanzl spoke about the development of the league and the upcoming finals.

MEL entering final phase

Last weekend the regular season of Women�s Middle European League was concluded. The big showdown, the Final Four will go down in Split on the 13th and 14th of March. Qualified are ZOK Rijeka, that has only lost two games this season, followed by Austrian champion SVS Post, Branik Maribor and hosting Split.

ACH Volley wins top game

The MEVZA duel between MEL-Leader Hypo Tirol Volleyballteam (AUT) and pursuer ACH Volley Bled in Innsbruck on Saturday ended with a 3:2- away win for the Slovenes. Head Coach was still content after clinching the top of the regular season table.
