Kastela finishes with victory

Saturday saw the second to last encounter in this season's MEL Men qualification round. Mladost Marina Kastela defeated Mladost Zagreb in 80 minutes at 3:0 (25:15, 25:15, 25:21). The last encounter of the qualification round will take place on January 15 when Chemes Humenne will welcome Hypo NÖ.

The Champions League participants ACH Volley Ljubljana (defending MEL champion) and Hypo Tirol Innsbruck will enter the competition only after the qualification round for the play-offs. The competition format of the play-offs is the same format as in the European Cup competitions (home and away match with golden set should the overall score after the two encounters be 1:1). ACH Volley will have to face the team ranked sixth in the qualification round, while Hypo Tirol will have to play the fifth-ranked team. The four winners qualify for the Final Four (04./05.03.12 or 09./10.03.12).
