Who wins the titles in Baden?

The field is set for the first Middle European Championship presented by Sport.Land.NÖ & Autohaus Bierbaum. After strong performances in Rome the Austrian Duos Gosch/Horst and the Schaiger sisters took the favourite role at the MEC-premiere in Baden. Also Doppler/Mellitzer want to compete for the Men's title as do Hansel/Montagnolli in the Women's competition.

Rather unknown is the strength of the international participants (as Pokernik/Pokernik) with experience only in the gym. Nevertheless they belonged to the best of their sport as they also played in the Champions League. Also some proven beach-teams look to surprise, especially teams form the Czech Republic like Klapalova/Hajeckova or Tichý-Dumek.

Hosting Austria was granted six teams in the qualification that starts Thursday, May 3rd, all other nations have two spots. The Austrian Duos Florian Gosch and Alex Horst and Daniel Hupfer/Paul Schroffenegger secured spots in the main event due to their ÖVV-ranking. Same goes for Doris and Stefanie Schaiger and Barbara Hansel/Sara Montagnolli.

The decisive matches for the medals are scheduled for Sunday, June 6th. The game for the 3rd place of the Woman's competition will be played at 1 pm and the final at 2 pm. The best male teams will fight for the 3rd place at 3pm followed by the game for the first gold medal of the Middle European Championship at 4pm.
