Hypo Tirol takes the lead

Last weekend four games were scheduled in Men's MEL. Austrian champion Hypo Tirol took the lead in the standings with two wins against bottom team MOK Zagreb (CRO).

On Friday Hypo Tirol won the 8th round game against MOK Zagreb by 3:0 (25:16, 25:23, 25:13).They also had no problems the day after beating the Croats again by 3:0 (25:15, 25:13, 25:16) in only 55 minutes. This Time Paulo Da Silva was the Topscorer in his comeback from a muscle injury with 17 points. Hypo Tirol now tops the standings two points ahead of ACH Volley (SLO). Next Saturday the two top teams will meet again.

Diamant Kaposvar win against Chemes Humenne
Hungarian champion Diamant Kaposvar celebrated a 3:1- away win at VK Chemes Humenne on Saturday. With another victory against Salonit Anhovo (SLO) on the 7th of March Kaposvar could finish the season as sixth seed.

hotVolleys beat ACH Volley again
The hotVolleys (AUT) celebrated a 3:1 (28:26, 25:22, 22:25, 25:20)-win at second placed ACH Volley Bled (SLO). The Slovenian Champions League team has suffered onlay suffered three losses this season two of them against the hotVolleys.

"We reached an important goal today, because we will now play Hypo Tirol in the semi finals at home. That was our big wish. We have shown that we're still there today', said hotVolleys-manager Peter Kleinmann.
