Top games in Men's MEL

Only two games of the 16th round are scheduled this week in Men's MEL, but those mathcups are intriguing: Hypo Tirol Volleyballteam looks to celebrate their 12th victory on Friday against Austrian rivals hotVolleys from Vienna. SK Posojilnica Aich/Dob (AUT) wants to defend the second seed for the Austrian Playoffs with a win against ACH Volley (SLO) on Saturday.

Hypo Tirol won the first match up with the hotVolleys in November by 3:1. After winning an accumulated eight games in a row against the team from Vienna they also are favorites for the game on Friday. The last win for the hotVolleys against the Austrian Champion dates back to April 2008. On Friday the Tyroleans further want to establish themselves as Number one team in Austria and the MEVZA. The hotVolleys need to win at least two sets to move ahead of Aich/Dob in the seeding table for the Austrian Playoffs and claim home court advantage in the semifinals. After the victory against Aich/Dob last week hotVolley's new coach Igor Pirelozny hopes for his second win in a row.

ACH Volley travels to Aich/Dob
SK Posojilnica Aich/Dob has a tough task ahead with the homegame against the Slovenian Champions League-team ACH Volley. Bled had a clear 3:0 (25:17, 25:23, 28:26)-win against the Austrians in the first meeting. In front of their home crowd the team of Coach Miroslav Palgut wants to have a better result against the second seed in the MEL-standings.
