Hypo Tirol works hard for win

In men's MEL four games of the 15th and 11th round were scheduled last week. Diamant Kaposvar (HUN) lost at second placed Ach Volley (SLO) by 0:3 on Thursday and against Leader HAOK Mladost again 1:3. Hypo Tirol Volleyballteam (AUT) celebrated a 3:1-win at Salonit Anhovo (SLO). The hotVolleys ousted Austrian rival SK Posojilnica Aich/Dob 3:1 on Friday.

Dr. Igor Prielozny had a successful return as hotVolleys-coach on Friday as his team beat SK Posojilnica Aich/Dob in their 15th round game 3:1 (25:14, 22:25, 25:16, 25:19) in 98 minutes. The hotVolleys were in control for much of the game. Aich/Dob took the second set after scoring on four serves in a row. For the rest of the game the hosts served better and and more block-points (15:8) than their guests

The team from Vienna needs one more point to reach the second seed for the Austrian Playoffs behind Hypo Tirol. To topple Aich/Dob in the standings the hotVolleys now need to win at leats two sets on Friday, when they meet Hypo Tirol in Innsbruck.

"We got important points from this stressful game, in which we couldn't lose two sets by any means. For Prielozny this was an excellent debut. Now we have to score against Hypo Tirol. This will be a tough task', said hotVolleys-manager Peter Kleinmann.

+Kaposvar loses two times
Hungarian champion Diamant Kaposvar suffered two losses last week. They had now chance against second placed ACH Volley (SLO), losing by 0:3 (14:15, 20:25, 13:25). Kaposvar found no answer to Bled's topscoring duo Sket (20 points) and Jakupin(16 points). On Sunday in the belated 11th round game against leader HAOK Mladost (CRO) they performed better in front of their home crowd. Still Mladost celebrated a deserved 3:1 (25:18, 25:23, 29:25, 21:25)-win and stays on top of the table.

Hypo Tirol works hard for win
On Thursday Hypo Tirol (AUT) got a 3:1 (25:22, 19:25, 25:22, 25:18) win at Salonit Anhovo (SLO). The hosts took lots of risks and fought hard from the start. The guests gained control in the middle of the third set and never looked back. The Tyroleans still are the only team with only one loss this season.
