Kapsovar challenges Top-Duo

Men's Middle European League (MEL) enters the final stages of the regular season. Last years Finalists Hypo Tirol Volleyballteam (AUT) and ACH Volley Bled (SLO) have practically already secured their Final Four spots. The hotVolleys (AUT) will participate as organizer of the event. HAOK Mladost and SK Posojilnica Aich/Dob battle for the last spot.

Next-to-last Diamant Kaposvar (HUN) has no easy task this week playing second seed ACH Volley and leader HAOK Mladost. On Thursday the Hungarian champion travels to Slovenian champion Bled to start off the 15th round. On Sunday leader HAOK Mladost comes to Kaposvar, boasting a record of nine wins in 14 games. Despite topping the table the Croats still have to fight to make it to the Final Four.

Tirol looks to defend best record
Salonit Anhovo (SLO) hosts Austrian champion Hypo Tirol Volleyballteam on Thursday. The hosts might be out of the Final four race, but still have big goals as winning the Slovenian championship and cup. Seventh ranked Anhovo recently added a new setter and want to beat Champion Bled in the Slovenian Final.

The Tyroleans expect a hard fight in Anhovo, but have good memories from last season, when Captain Daniel gaven and his team celebrated a thrilling 3:2-victory. Hypo Tirol especially wants to be aggressive with the serve and blocks to put pressure on the hosts in front of their home crowd right from the start.

hotVolleys face Aich/Dob
The hotVolleys face a home game against Austrian rival Aich/dob on Friday. The game is of great importance for both team as it will also count for the seeding of the Austrian Playoffs. Tirol has already secured the top spot. The hotVolleys need points against both Aich/Dob and the Tyroleans next week to still get the second seed for the playoffs.
