ACH Volley beats leader HAOK Mladost

Last week games of the 14th and 16th round were played in Men's MEL. Leader HAOk Mladost (CRO) suffered a crushing 0:3-loss against runner-up ACH Volley (SLO). Hypo Tirol beat Austrian rival SK Posjilnica Aich /Dob in another clash of two top teams.
The hotVolleys (AUT) celebrated a 3:1 (25:17, 26:24, 21:25, 25:15)-win at Diamant Kaposvar (HUN) to start the 14th round. It was the third win for the Austrians in the fourth meeting of the season of the two teams, who also faced each other in the CEV Cup.
Injured Milos Stojkovic couldn't play for the hotVolleys and was replaced by Jörg Haidbauer. The away team had the better start, but Kaposvar answered back by taking a 24:19-lead in the second set. The Hungarians still didn't win the set by losing seven points in a row. In the third set (25:15) the Austrian Record Champion showed again why it was the better team this night.
"The team played really well tonight. It certainly was our best game this year', said a pleased hotVolleys-manager Peter Kleinmann.
Anhovo wins twice
On Friday Salonit Anhovo (SLO) pleased the home crowd with a 3:0-win against VK Chemes Humenne (SVK). Jerni Potocnik was topscorer of the game with 21 points. For Chems Humenne the Final Four is out of reach before the last game.
On Sunday Anhovo followed up with another 3:0-victory against last placed MOK Zagreb. This time David Szabo David Szabo scored 15 points for the home team. Anhovo after the two wins reached the seventh place.
ACH Volley beats leader HAOK Mladost
ACH Volley Bled (SLO) captured the second place with a 3:0-win at leader HAOK Mladost on Saturday. Alen Sket, who scored 28 points, was the man of the match for Bled. At the end of the sets ACH Volley always had the right answers.
Hypo Tirol wins Austrian derby
Hypo Tirol won the other top game on Saturday against Austrian rival SK Posojilnica Aich/Dob by 3:0 (25:23, 25:22, 25:22). With the win the Tyroleans stay unbeaten at home and also captured the first seed for the Austrian playoffs. They will now have home court advantage until the finals.
"We started off really well, but Aich/Dob took a lot of chances and also played well. Winning the first set was crucial for the rest of the game. We had no problems in the second set, but in the third we were behind 11:16. After Coach Stefan Chrtiansky subbed in Paulo Da Silva, Stefan Chrtiansky jr. and Jakub Joscak we turned this one around too', said Hypo Tirol Assistant Coach Gernot Hupfauf.
