Post beats Kamnik

There's plenty of action ahead in Women's MEL before the holidays. SG SVS Post (AUT) even had to play three more games before Christmas. The Austrians celebrated a 3:1-win in the first of those three against Calcit Kamnik (SLO) on Wednesday. When the league's top teams ZOK Rijeka KVIG (CRO) and Nova KBM Branik Maribor (SVK) meet Saturday Rijeka's nine-game winnig streak is on the line.

On Wednesday SVS Post celebrated a 3:1(22:25, 25:23, 25:20, 25:18)-home win in a 7th round game against Calcit Kamnik. "We had a rough start today. Some of the players might have only had Christmas on their mind', said SVS Post-Coach Vladimir Pridal. On Friday the Austrians travel to Slovakia to meet VK Slavia UK Bratislava. If that wasn't enough, Post finally hosts Leader ZOK Rijeka KVIG (CRO) on December 22nd. "If we manage to play against them like we did in the European Cup, then we have a chance to win. Some of ou long-injured players start to get into shape. We also managed to beat them in the Final Four last year', said a confident Pridal.

Split favourite against Zilina
Fourth placed ZOK Split 1700 (CRO) are going as favourites into the home game against ZU Zilina (SVK) on Friday. The Croats got a convincing 3:0-away win in their first meeting this season.

Klagenfurt travels to Laibach
ATSC Sparkasse Klagenfurt (AUT) also wants to cap the year off with a victory. The Wildcats face an waway game at last placed Vital Ljubljana (SLO) on Saturday.

Clash of the Top-Teams on Saturday
The top-game of the 11th round features Leader ZOK Rijeka KVIG (CRO) and Nova KBM Branik Maribor (SLO). The Croats have won all of their nine games this season, losing only one set. They look to continue that impressive streak in front of their home crowd against runner-up Maribor as well.

Third placed VK Doprastav Bratislava (SVK) hosts Calcit Kamnik on Saturday.
